Attending the annual TJ Science and Engineering Fair, Tao presents her protein prediction model. She started the project during RSI and hopes to add to it in the future. “The protein prediction project was something that I worked on at RSI and actually continued as part of the TJ mentorship program this year. The project falls in very nicely with what I want to do in the future,” Tao said.

Elias works on keeping the scoresheet updated during a lacrosse game. “[My initial experience] was a bit tricky because I had to learn the ropes. I wasn’t very fluent in lacrosse at the time when I started because I wasn’t an athlete in that type of way. But in the end I learned the ins-and-outs of the sport. It took me going to the first couple games, asking the coaches questions, observing the referees call score, looking at the scoreboard, and working with friends.,” Elias said.
