Hannah Liu, Editor-in-Chief

Hannah Liu is a senior at TJ and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the print edition of tjTODAY, after previously leading the publication’s digital coverage as Online Editor-in-Chief. Now in her fourth year on staff, she especially enjoys reporting on environmental and nature-related topics, as well as connecting with new people through interviews. Outside of journalism, Hannah writes poetry, creates art, plays tennis and advocates for climate change through policy and community engagement. Her favorite weekend activities include swimming and playing instruments with friends.

Narrating a skit skit for the pep rally on Thursday, Sept. 26, senior class president Akul Dixit tells the story of “sleepy seniors.” “I think this was our worst pep rally,” Dixit said. “We came into this under the impression that we could turn off lights, but minutes before this roll call, we were told we couldn’t. So then it kind of didn’t go well.”

liveliness into Jefferson’s atmosphere. “Art helped me imagine alternative futures, escape into my head and spend time in nicer places. I was hoping to give people something nice to look at, maybe make their days a little better,” Iyengar said.
