Here’s some more information regarding some of this morning’s announcements:

On Wednesday, December 13th during A and B blocks, Guest speaker Kate Charlet, class of 1998, will talk about science & technology policy careers and the implications of cybersecurity, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence for international stability and security.

Did you conduct research over the summer? Or submit to science competitions like Siemens and STS? If you are looking for a place to publish your hard work, then The Journal of Computational Sciences is accepting research paper submissions from now through this Friday, December 15th. Please visit computejournal.com for details.

Are you interested in art and looking for something to do Wednesday A or B blocks? If so, come to art club and help create a mosaic for the amphitheater! They have already finished one riser and they are currently creating another mosaic about the daytime sky. No experience is necessary, so spread the word and come be a part of this amazing project!

The National Council for Teachers of English (NCTE) has announced the 2018 Achievement Awards in Writing competition. Open to all juniors, the contest recognizes excellence in writing in any genre. you can submit your best work of no more than six pages. you must also submit a response to this year’s theme, “Changing the Narrative” in no more than four pages. See Dr. Boswell for details in room 36. Entries must be emailed to Dr. Boswell by January 25th to be judged by our TJ panel of judges before the nominations go to NCTE.
