The highlight of showing school spirit during homecoming week is the pep rallies for many students. Pictured is how in-person pep rallies have traditionally occurred: Jefferson students showing off their competitive school spirit by class. “I wouldn’t say what’s special about TJ is the homecoming day, what I would say is that the week before has some of the craziest hype I’ve ever seen. It’s like NFL level crazy,” Richik Halder said.

The Jefferson Cheer team wrapped up their season l The Jefferson Cheer team wrapped up their season last week, cheering on the Colonials in the football game last Friday. The social-distanced cheer will be the last for some departing seniors and the first of many for the new freshmen.

“This season was unlike any other. Even with coronavirus in the mix, I'm glad we still got to form a tight knit community on the cheer team,” senior Molly Barron said. “Stunts were downgraded, timing changed, and there was a lot of uncertainty but our spirits stayed high, and I'm grateful for the chance I got to cheer with Jefferson one last time.”
