      Last Thursday, May 20th, TJ Broadcast took a close Last Thursday, May 20th, TJ Broadcast took a closer look at Jefferson's traditional iNite, the yearly event celebrating the many cultural clubs through dance and music, and how the event and its participation has changed as a result of the online year. "A lot of Urban relies on the energy of in-person teaching and practices," senior and UDM president Rose Du said. "So with the online platform, a lot of people don't turn their cameras on, and it's kind of hard to teach people since everyone is watching and learning through a really small screen."       Today, May 25th, TJ Broadcast took a closer look a Today, May 25th, TJ Broadcast took a closer look at sophomore Lucas Ribeiro, one of the very few people at TJ to use public transportation on a consistent weekly basis. In talking about his experience commuting to ultimate frisbee practice, Lucas illustrated some of the advantages and stigma surrounding public transportation. "Sometimes you'll hear people say they can't do something or go somewhere because their parents can't take them there," sophomore Lucas Ribeiro said.       The Jefferson Girls Tennis team has been on a grea The Jefferson Girls Tennis team has been on a great streak this season, winning games despite the shortened season. Last week they had their senior night, where they celebrated the high school tennis careers of three athletes. “Like the other sports teams, we have adapted to new safety protocols and played a compressed season,” senior Lucy Alejandro said. “However, once I get on the court, it’s not that different since it’s the same seventy-eight feet between me and my opponent, just like every other year.” Here are some pictures from the practice and games.
