Homecoming Banner Time Lapse

After weeks of drafting and collecting art supplies, each class competed in the annual Homecoming Banner Painting on Oct. 6th. Within the designated two 8th period blocs on Friday, all classes rushed to complete the sketching and the painting for their class-themed banner. At the end of the day, seniors (2018) placed first, juniors (2019) second, freshmen (2021) third, and sophomores (2020) last.

![Sophomore Holly Huang twirls a ribbon as she performs her dance, “Joy of the Dragon.” Chinese ribbon dance is a traditional art form originating in ancient China. Her ribbon dance was inspired by the revered mythical creature and this year’s Chinese zodiac sign, the dragon. “My ribbon symbolized a dragon flying in the air.
