Summer Travels to Turkey: Day 4

Uzma Rentia, Editor-in-Chief

Our second and last day in Cappadocia involved a lot of walking, namely in the form of a four kilometer hike through the Kizilcukur valley. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side; our entire trip was marked by unusually warm weather for this time of the year. However, we did get some respite from the weather when we visited cool – in terms of history and temperature – underground caves that once housed locals fleeing Roman and Persian persecution.
