      As November draws to a close, TJ Broadcast looked As November draws to a close, TJ Broadcast looked into two students' participation in NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month - and their ongoing attempt to write at least 50,000 words before the month finally ends. "I feel like creative writing is very interesting because you can express so many different ideas - and it's a really good way to destress, especially from school and academics, because no one is expecting anything from you or your writing," junior Lily Walters said.       As we celebrate today what we are thankful for, tj As we celebrate today what we are thankful for, tjTODAY wanted to look into the struggles of being a teacher during online learning, and how teachers have been adapting to these changes - and how students are thankful for all their hard work. "I'm thankful for my teachers for sticking with this online program - this lack of being able to see their students in person means that they're really not teaching the way they've taught their course for the past couple years, so I appreciate all the effort they've put into these online classes and making that transition," senior Justin Choi said. "The second message is one I’m trying to teach by example: being vulnerable about your struggles is not just acceptable, it is essential to eradicating stigma and supporting each other." 2) Cheer team faces additional regulations for 2020-21 season - tjTODAY looked into how current restrictions due to the pandemic has affected our fall cheer team. 3) The Flip Side: How teachers are adjusting to virtual learning 4) “The Queen’s Gambit” (2020): Finally, someone made a show about an interesting sport. - Max Vetter reviews The Queen's Gambit, which recently dropped on Netflix. 5) Poetry out loud heard from a distance - tjTODAY covered the recent changes to our school annual Poetry Out Loud competition in an online format 6) IBET Bonding: Friday Fundays - The Fisher/Klein IBET have begun Friday Fundays: time during lunch and in between classes for teachers, students, and counselors to get to know one another through games such as Among Us. 7) VHSL Adjusts to Social Distancing Guidelines - As guidelines for the pandemic change, so have sports at TJ. "I think that they're teaching important concepts, and during online learning, especially when we don't really have that much social contact, it's important to have these concepts and remember them,” freshman Neha Asuri said.
