Pumpkin painting brings an end to the first quarter

To prepare students for Halloween and to end the first quarter on a high note, Latin Honor Society (LHS) and Rotary Interact held pumpkin painting events for all students to attend. On Oct. 28, the clubs each had their activities during eighth period, with both of them having almost full, if not entirely full, attendance.
LHS held a competition-based event, where students were in teams of 2-3 and tried to paint their best pumpkin to win awards including “Most Classic,” “Most Lovely,” “Scariest,” “Most Mythological,” “Cutest,” and “Best Designed.” Rotary Interact, however, had students paint pumpkins that would go to children at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.
