Students audition for coveted spots on Man Choir

Freshman Tyler Larkworthy sings during his audition.

Auditions for new members of Man Choir were held on Sept. 28 in the music wing. For each audition, students had to prepare one minute of their favorite song and present their vocal ranges by singing scales. The last part consisted of an improvised melody to a basic set of notes.

Some students selected pop songs, while others chose more classic choir songs. Junior Alex Le Flock even beat boxed during his audition, although this was not common to all of the auditions.

“There was a lot of good talent this year, and we found the voice ranges we were looking for,” said senior Jungwook Choo, leader of Man Choir. “It was exciting to see that some of our friends had great voices.”
