Aafreen loves sarcasm to a core. In beginning her high school literary endeavor, she looked toward satire and comical writing to propel her through her academics. As a former editor of Luther Jackson Middle School's Book Bites, a newspaper column for literary reviews, she is an freshmen staff reporter with a passion for satirical columns, opinion pieces, and creative writing. In her first year on the newsmagazine staff, she hopes to use her voice to not only convey her outlook, but bring to light the perspectives of those in the TJ community. Specifically with an emphasis on personal interviews and feature articles, Aafreen is not afraid of expanding her horizons, but ready to take on new journalistic challenges.
